Some storms could be severe tomorrow night.

Lots of sun today as high pressure moved briefly into the region from the west. Afternoon temperatures were in the mid 50s to near 60. The dry weather will last into tonight, but clouds will be on the increase. Lows tonight won't be as chilly as last night, with most areas in the upper 30s to low 40s.

A strong storm system will develop over the Gulf of Mexico and head our way for tomorrow. Wednesday will start out dry, but rain will spread into the region during the late morning and afternoon. Highs on Wednesday will range from the mid 50s north to the mid 60s south. As the storm moves off to the northeast, a cold front will approach Wednesday evening. There is a chance of some strong to severe storms Wednesday evening before the rain moves out later Wednesday night. Rainfall amount of 1-2 inches are possible through Wednesday night It will be windy everywhere, even areas that don't experience thunder or lightning. Winds could guts to 35 mph tomorrow night.

Dry and cooler air will move in for the end of the week, with highs falling back into the 50s.
